Concept Fire Sprinklers Ltd has completed essential adaptations to the existing sprinkler system at CAVC Dumballs Road in Cardiff, supporting a refurbishment to create new communal office spaces.

Following the award of the building’s maintenance contract, our team coordinated and delivered the works over the weekend to minimise disruption to the client and building occupants.

Adapting fire sprinklers to a changing layout

The refurbishment introduced a new layout within the building, requiring adaptations to the existing sprinkler system to maintain protection across the newly configured areas.

Our team completed the necessary works as part of the refurbishment, ensuring the sprinkler system continued to serve the updated spaces. Full fire protection was maintained throughout the project.

Weekend works to minimise disruption

Working within an occupied building requires careful coordination. To reduce the impact on the client and those using the premises, all works were scheduled and completed over the weekend.

Fire sprinklers tested and completed to BS EN 12845

Following the adaptations, the sprinkler system was fully tested. The works were completed in accordance with BS EN 12845, with the adapted system confirmed as compliant.

The completed project provides sprinkler protection suited to the building’s new office layout and forms part of our ongoing maintenance work at CAVC Dumballs Road.
